Hari Krishna so far...

I began my career with a choice – to follow the part of me that felt most alive. Instead of taking a high-paying corporate role after IIMC, I walked into Leo Burnett Delhi for ₹3,000 a month because something in me knew that ideas, creativity, were my path. That small decision shaped everything that came after.

At Leo Burnett, I learned hunger. The kind that keeps you in the office long after everyone leaves, writing 200 headlines just to find one that sings. It’s where I learned craft, pace, and the joy of turning insights into work that makes people feel something. Within months, I went from trainee to copywriter, and my Tide campaigns started appearing in award books I used to study as a student.

Ogilvy taught me depth. Surrounded by some of India’s sharpest creative minds, I learned the weight of emotional storytelling, the discipline of long copy, and the energy of Bombay’s creative chaos. I worked across beauty, tourism, FMCG and editorial & even interviewing India’s cultural thinkers for Tehelka. It showed me what it means for an idea to have heart.

McCann gave me strategy. The power of insight, planning, and category thinking. It sharpened my mind and broadened my voice. My work for Western Union and other brands won awards and strengthened my reputation as a thinker, not just a writer.

Contract shaped my eye. A design-led hotshop, built on craft and aesthetic rigour. It taught me visual intelligence, pan-India thinking, ownership, and how to balance global guidelines with local truth. Cadbury, HSBC, Asian Paints – the scale grew, and so did I.

And then came JWT Dubai. A new country, a new culture, new expectations. I joined as a Senior Copywriter and quickly grew into a Creative Director leading GCC/MENA work for some of the biggest brands in the world – HSBC, Nestlé, Nokia, Mercedes, Audi, Nike and others. I became the person the ECD would call when a brief was stuck, when a pitch mattered, when the stakes were high. My campaigns won Grand Prixs and other other major awards, helped the agency win Agency of the Year, and travelled across the region. I led teams, mentored talent, shaped culture, created 360° platforms, and represented the Middle East in global brand workshops in Paris and London.

For the past decade, I’ve been a plug-in Creative Director and Copywriter working with top agencies across the UAE and MENA – DDB, BBDO, Ogilvy, Nomads, Science & Sunshine and many more. From Emirates Airlines to Pepsi, Netflix to One&Only Resorts, KitKat to Citibank, I step into teams, absorb brand DNA instantly and help elevate the work – whether it’s a pitch, a film, a platform, or a daily brief that needs more soul.

Across these years, one thing has stayed constant: I care deeply about the idea. The emotion behind it, the humanity inside it, and the power it has to move people.

Beyond advertising, I’m shaped by a few other lifelong passions, that teach me to observe more deeply, think more widely, and create more honestly.

  • I’m a Level-4 Yoga Master (Ministry of AYUSH, India) and a Yoga Alliance ERYT-200 / RYT-500 teacher.
  • I’ve travelled slowly through 40+ countries, hiking, learning and volunteering.
  • I read obsessively, follow culture across genres, was big time into debating, quizzing (hence suffer from fomo) and spend hours in museums whenever I can.
  • I paint, draw, sculpt and write – creative disciplines that keep my instincts sharp and my curiosity alive.
  • I’m trained in natural building and permaculture, and fascinated by how people build lives, spaces and stories.
